My triton camp chef 5L water heater seems to be working intermittently - water gets hot but turns cold again within a minute. Turning off the water @ the shower head itself & then turning it back on resolves the issue but this is a pain in the neck! Is this normal for this unit? Thank you for your help.
This model only produces up to 1 1/2 gallons per minute. That is not a lot of hot water, if you're using it for a shower. Get wet, shut it off, soap up, turn it back on and rinse.
That's plenty of water. My wife & I have been using it as our daily shower (outdoors) for 4 years.

YOU PROABALY HAVE A BAD THERMEL COUPLE OR BAD HEATTING ELEMINT OR MAYBE THE PILET LIGH IF GAS IS TO LOW. IF ELECTRIC IT MAY BE SET TO LOW OF HAVE A BAD CUT OF AND ON SWITCH
The 5L has no pilot. It's propane. Call customer service. They're vey helpful.
