This PC belongs to a friend of mine that basically decided to do a system restore after accidently deleting some system files of the original OS Windows 7 Starter. He initiated this via the LG Recovery tool, and selected the Factory Restore option. The process was interrupted halfway due to the battery dying. I was asked to have a look and to retrieve some irreplaceable photos that were still on the HDD. As the PC wasnt booting up properly, I used Puppy Linux via USB to access the HDD to copy the JPEGs to my external. This worked without any issues. Shutting down, I chose not to save preferences and for the machine to simply reboot. Now its stuck at the LG logo screen. The FAN powers up, but the HDD does not respond. Only 2 options are presented: F2 BIOS Setup and F10 Boot Menu. Neither of which actually work pressing either of these options during power up will simply indicate that the corresponding button has been pressed but then it hangs. I have tried removing the battery, depressing the power button for 60secs to Hard Reset, but this has not worked. F11 and any of the other keys are all nonresponsive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
