How did the auto configuration came about? Try pressing the buttons before powering up. Maybe some of it are stuck.

If it gives you message about the resolution, set the computer to use native resolution of the monitor. You can change the resolution by right clicking on desktop and choosing "screen resolution".

This is because your game is changing your video mode and timing. Check in the game's settings, see if there is a "use default video mode" option or if you can specify the 1440X900 mode manually.
