The codes used to program your DISH remote to the TV may be limited to some functions. You can try addressing your remote to the TV using different codes. 1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.
Confirmed with Samsung tech support. Problem is with remote. to fix, simple take the batteries out of the remote. Press and hold the UP Volume button for 2 Mintues (no cheating, it has to be at least 2 minutes), this Reset's the Remote Control. Put the batteries back in. Bob's your uncle. all fixed.

I had the same problem. The problem is strange and seems to be with the receiver in the TV and not the remote control. The reason I say this is that when this first happened my Samsung brand DVD could actually control the TV. This then also failed, but still works fine with the DVD player.
Anyway there is an even more bizarre fix to all this......
- Remove the batteries from your TV remote.
- Press and hold the red (ON/OFF) button for at least 1 min.
- Replace the batteries and hey presto!!
I know seems far fetched but I found it on the Samsung website and it does work.

Hi Re Easytouch 42" HD TV - look for Hisense - I took a guess and LCD3204 EU code 376 - remote works but buttons don't tally up - getting there slowly!
Just bought a madeforyou 4:1 remote that is programmed on my PC.
Ok - not proper solution yet but nearly there!

Hello, my name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network customer service. To program the remote to a Vizio tv, there are a couple approaches that you may take. First is, follow this link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions which walks you through it. Or do these steps: 1. Hold down the TV mode button until all mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. 2. Punch in the code 505. 3. Press the pound (#) button on the keypad. Use either of these, and that remote will work great! Just make sure after you get the volume working, that you press the SAT button on the remote!
