Pull trigger light flashes even on a full charge and a new battery
The Dyson DC35 (and probably other) battery packs appear to have a 15Amp fuse in the negative lead inside the battery pack. I opened my battery pack (not a job for the faint-hearted) and found the item that looks like a resistor (I'm an electronics tech) marked 15A was open circuit. I replaced it and the DC35 is working again.
If the power cells are operational and it will not start; then either the motor is dysfunctional or something is jammed in the intake module. A conduction test with instrumentation can indicate if the motor is the problem, the power cells are not fully charged, or you have a short circuit. Check Fuses.
SOURCE: Hi, this is our third Dyson DC-16.. the Trigger
How are you charging your battery? Every battery has a memory. If you dont let it die the first come times then charge to full the battery will assume 40% is 100%.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your solution, but we've had it at least a year.. it stays on charge when not in use.cleaned the connections.working better, not 100%.."
