I need to install my new HP Officejet 6310 and set it as the default printer . I don't have a Installation CD Rom

Go to HP.com, customer service, downloads and drivers. Type in the model number and then find the install download.

Will not print defults to fax even though default is set for printer

Delete both the icons(Fax and Printer icon) and also, if there is any copy if installed.

Insert the Printer driver CD or Run the setup file.
Select Add a Device from the Options that come on the welcome screen.

Select it, follow the onscreen options to complete the installation.

Once it is complete, restart the printer. And then try to print. If the issue still persists, restart the computer and then try to print.

Can no longer fax or scan

got to control panel and uninstall all the applications and drivers related to your printer in the machine running vista. Then place the printer installation CD came with your printer in the CD drive. Now just connect your printer to machine and switch it on. Vista should display new Hardware connected or any other sound alert acknowledging that printer is connected to your machine. If it prompts for driver installation, select it to search for drivers automatically. Before that make sure that your printer installation cd is in drive. Vista will automatically search for the drivers and installs it. If it's not, then the cd came with your printer may not have drivers for vista. go to HP website and download driver for vista and install it.

Hp officejet 6313 installation cd does not have the driver

You should be able to access the software for your printer by opening the CD in My Computer etc, and run the setup program.

How can I get an Installation disk for a HP 6310

Well you could try and obtain the drivers for it if that's what your looking for on HP's website. Otherwise if you are looking for something else on the cd, I do not know where to find it.
