I have a radio shack hyperscan 200 channel pro-2039 programmable scanner. How do I erase ALL the stored frequencies so I can start over again?

You can initialize the scanner to delete all information that you've programmed into it and return it to its original factory settings. To do this:

1. Turn the scanner OFF, then turn it ON again.
2. Press and hold down the CLEAR key and insert a pointed object, such as a paperclip or the point of a pen, into the RESET opening in the back of the scanner, and press the button inside the opening.
3. Release RESET. When information reappears on the scanner's display, release the CLEAR key.

NOTE: You must release the RESET button before releasing the CLEAR key.

Also note that this procedure may not be necessary. Programming a new frequency into a channel automatically deletes the frequency previously stored in that channel.

Im trying to program my Pro-70 Hyperscaner

To program a known frequency into your PRO-70:

- Press PGM. PGM appears on the display, indicating that the scanner is in programming mode.
- Enter the number of the channel that you wish to program (1 - 50), then press PGM again. As an alternative, press PGM repeatedly until the desired channel number appears on the display.
- Enter the desired frequency, including the decimal (for example, 156.045).
- Press E/L-OUT to store the frequency.
- Repeat steps 2 - 4 to program another frequency.

Your scanner's operating manual has details on other programming steps. If needed, you can download/print the manual here:
