To change the default settings for all future print jobs in Windows XP
1. In the Windows task bar, click Start, select Settings, and click Printers and Faxes.
2. Right-click the HP LaserJet 1020 printer icon.
3. Click Properties, or click Printing Preferences.
4. Change the settings, and click OK.
5. On the Effects tab, select the watermark you want to use.
NOTE Not all printer features are available from all drivers or operating systems. See the printer
properties (driver) online Help for information about availability of features for that driver.

Canon ir5055 watermark feature.
When yo hit file, print, perform watermark under preferences not under start , printers , properties and preferences, this makes it the default of all print jobs.

Watermark problem
Sounds like a print driver problem. If the driver sits on a server and used by others do they have the same problem. If so, delete driver on server and reinstall. If the print driver is loaded individually on each pc - you will need your driver deleted and reinstalled (preferably from a different source). Hope this helps.

Draft word
Hi. I'm not sure, but it sounds like you have a watermark set on the document. If you are using Microsoft WORD, go to PAGE LAYOUT and click WATERMARK, then REMOVE WATERMARK.  (I have Word 2007) I'm not sure how to do this on previous versions. Hope this helps.

I have a new hp photosmart c6280 all in one printer. It prints great but I have been having problems printing ship labels through paypal and now usps.com Each label is sent with SAMPLE over the front, so...
I can't tell you exactly what this issue is, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that it isn't your printer. More likely, it's the way in which these files are watermarked or else a setting in the viewing application your printing from, say PDF.

But I can make some very good guesses and to some things which would cause this error...

  1. You are running some sort of trial viewer that has expired and now watermarks as "sample" anything you print. Picture viewers, some commercial document viewers, and some web browser plugins can do this.
  2. You are printing from a webpage and do not have java or scripting enabled. Many browsers require scripting to validate that you are supposed to be printing what your printing and watermark what you print if it can not.
  3. The issue is UPS, not paypal; but paypal uses UPS to do shipping...in this case you will see the error either way baacause your still using UPS but Paypal may have been aware that UPS had an issue and was addressing it with them.
  4. If your using Office products they do have an options setting to watermark print jobs. "SAMPLE" is the default watermark. But this would only effect printing from Word, Publisher, Excel, etc.
