It means the battery charger is trying to charge the battery. If the battery is 100% chargeable, then it the light will not blink after some minutes, otherwise the battery is bad (100% or less).

SOURCE: No LCD display and hard drive is not flashing or booting

Hey I just stumbled across this page when someone brought me their same laptop with the same problem. I tried everything that has already been mentioned but what fixed it in the end was just reseting the RAM and it booted up perfectly after that!

SOURCE: Battery Light Flashes Orange and Green

The LED sequence indicates a failure in the battery. (Like one cell has low charge) As long as the overall battery output meets the minimum for system operation, the battery will work.

The average lifespan for a Portable battery is about 500 discharge/recharge cycles (1 to 2 years) anything after that is a bonus

Replace the battery, issue will go away

SOURCE: Battery Light Flashes Orange and Green

I have had three different laptops, last one an XPS from DELL which did the same thing. Replacing the battery solved all three laptops. How old is the battery you have in there now?

the wire with the fuse belongs to external light fetures (unit does not have. It was intended for future use for external ligts)

the two yellow lights endicate problme with batteries( too low) or the module controller.

Dell 9400 wont show AC power icon

If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the about10.jpg light operates as follows:
  • Solid green: The battery is charging.

  • Flashing green: The battery is almost fully charged.

If the computer is running on a battery, the about41.jpg light operates as follows:
  • Off: The battery is adequately charged (or the computer is turned off).

  • Flashing orange: The battery charge is low.

  • Solid orange: The battery charge is critically low.
Looks like the AC adaptor is faulty.

Flashing orange and yellow lights

Most likely your battery is dead.
If you are worried about your HD , the best thing to do would be to power it off.
Remove the battery and see if it will boot on the AC adapter.
If it boots , just get a new battery.
If not you have a motherboard issue and need to call Acer if it is under warranty.

My laptop says its on AC Power but the batteries is low

I dont think this is a problem with the powercord since AC power supply is coming into the laptop. The yellow power light blinks when the charge in the battery is less than 10%. This is a problem with the battery. It is covered under warranty(if you still have it) then i suggest that you avail it and get new battery!
Good luck!
