Is there a counter for the number of pages being printed?

Some please correct me if I'm wrong here ..
If it's connected to the network, obtain the IP address and open up your web browser and type in the ip address of the machine, into the address bar this will take you to the web server. I'm not real familiar with the machine, however once on the machines embedded web server should be able to find the page count as this machine allows usage tracking for users and groups, which get configured thru the embedded web server.

Can I connect the printer directly to my laptop using ethernet cable

Hi! If the computer is connected to an HP All-in-One on a network, you can access the Embedded Web Server that resides in the HP All-in-One. The Embedded Web Server is a web-based user interface that provides some options not available on the HP All-in-One control panel, including advanced network security options. The Embedded Web Server also enables you to monitor status and order printer supplies. For information on how to use the features available in the Embedded Web Server, see the onscreen help within the Embedded Web Server. To access Embedded Web Server help, open the Embedded Web Server, then click the Help link under Other Links on the Embedded Web Server Home tab. NOTE: Only use the Embedded Web Server to change network settings if you cannot access the HP All-in-One control panel, or you need to change an advanced option not available on the control panel. Bi-directional

D-Link´s print servers are IEEE1284 bi-directional compatible. This means that data can be sent and received in both directions between the printer and the D-Link print server. Toner status, paper level, and etc. will not be communicated back to the PC. In order to get printer status information, the proprietary printer driver has embedded code that needs to be passed on to the print server, decoded, then interpreted by the print server. Embedded driver codes are not supported by D-Link print servers. D-Link´s print servers, whether in Gateways or StandAlone, are plain TCP/IP print servers.
