will need to buy a new battery if it not that it could your apps open press the square on the left ad will come up with what open then at button it will say close tab press that then your battery should not go down too quick

Just look if ifixit.com opened your tab already. They show how to open and repair lost of electronics. They also can help with spare parts and they sell tools.

My first guess would be you have a broken battery. Try to open it and measure the battery. If it's above 3.7V, it is fine. Then you have to consider that your motherboard is broken. You should always try to replace a broken part yourself first. search model name plus "repair guide" on any search engine.They will show details about about part replacement etc. in detail. Do not interrupt the battery recalibration process. If recalibration is interrupted, you must start the process over again.

1. Close all open files and programs.
   
2. Connect your notebook to AC power and allow the battery to completely charge.
   
3. Disconnect the AC power and restart your notebook.Note: If the power cord or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button. If the icon still does not appear, verify thatAlways show icon on the taskbar is checked on the Power Options Properties Advanced tab.
   
   
4. Completely discharge the battery by doing the following:
   
   
   1. From the desktop, right-click on the power icon, then select Adjust Power Properties.
   2. Click the Power Schemes tab.
   3. Click the arrow button to open the Power Schemes list, then click Always On.
   4. Click the Alarms tab.
   5. Click to remove the check mark from the Low battery alarm and Critical battery alarm checkboxes. Let the battery drain until your notebook automatically turns off.
   
   
5. After the battery is completely drained, reconnect your notebook to AC power.
   
6. Charge the battery completely until the yellow battery status indicator goes out.
   
7. When you are ready to use your notebook again, do the following:
   
   
   1. From the desktop, right-click on the power icon, then select Adjust Power Properties.
   2. Click the Power Schemes tab.
   3. Click the arrow button to open the Power Schemes list, then click Always On.
   4. Click the Alarms tab.
   5. Click to select the Low battery alarm and Critical battery alarm check boxes.

The Tab takes quite a long time to charge (not sure why). Note that the Tab cannot charge from a computer USB port (only from the included AC adapter. When the Tab has finished charging, it should put out a notification (open the notification drawer by pulling down on the status bar) saying the battery is fully charged and to unplug the charger. Other than that, you would have to install a third-party app like Smart Battery Monitor (see here) and watch that to see when it is full.

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once.
