I had the same problem.I think oil or coolant got into the buttons,causing an electrical problem. I took the battery out and put a couple of drops of alcohol on the buttons and inside battery compartment,then blew it out really good leaving the battery out and drying under a light for about an hour.

hi toffie! you probably have it connected it to your onboard vga, please have it check at the back if you have a video card connected separately, and if you have it means that you need to disconnect it on the onboard and connect it to your video card.
