I have a 6432GG 32in TV. I have sound but no picture. I was told that I leave the tv on too long and that the tv heats up and shuts down itself. Is this true and if so can it be fixed? I also have my tv ran thru my stereo for sound. Every thing is plugged into the power strip.(tv, vcr, stereo, and satellite dish) 4 plugs. Is this too much electronics on one power strip?
thanks for your help.
Probably this tv has a transistor damaged, but you can try to re solder all the leads and try to switch it ON again. beaware not to short the component leads.

The Remote for the TV set itself should have either a input or source button on it (some call it tv/video) If you are hooked to a set with more than one set of the jacks they will be labeled video 1 or 2 etc.
simply with the remote for the tv change inputs until you either see the picture or the display matches the location you plugged into.
If the sound still works normally but the screen is dark then I would suspect the inverter for having the issue. If you dont have sound either then I would check both the power board and the main board.
Need clarification. Do you have speakers hooked up to your computer? Or did you just plug in a VGA cable from your computer to the TV? The sound can't magically go from your computer to the TV, because VGA cables don't transmit sound. So if you are indeed using speakers, which I doubt, it's a computer problem.
Basically, describe exactly what components you have and how they are hooked up.
try to adjust the screen at the back of the plyback.a big parts inside the tv with a wire attach to the picture tube. thre's a two knob there, the lower knob try to adjust it
hello .this does sound like bad solder joints .all printed circuit boards do this after a while due to heating and cooling .is not advisable to try to repair yourself .possible electric shock and spiking .will do a lot of damage .take to a shop to have repaired
