I have WeSC headphones. They are Banjar on-ear headphones, wired in. There are no visible damages. No sound at all. I don't wanna cut anything until I know what's wrong. Anybody have ideas?

Try getting a headphone amp. Battery powered and make sure you get one with no less than 3000 mah capacity. It will last more than 24 hours with 3000 mah.If more power does not help check wire connections in the headphones.

Power amp r b 981 no power to the speakers. Pre amp seems to be ok. Headphones work.

Check the headphone socket if it cuts out the speakers (normal use) when you plug the headphones in. If it doesn't and you have a switch to switch off the speakers when listening to headphones, check the switch. It may be physical damage or dirt causing the problem, or even loose soldering on the headphone socket. But the fact that headphones work shows the main amp is working. Also make certain the speakers are connected properly.

it could be that you only get this when the power cord is connected, if so that is your problem, its an earth issue with the power supply.

I have a Hohner amp that has sound coming from earphones when I plug them into the headphone jack, but there's no sound coming out of the speaker itself when the earphones are unplugged. How do I fix that?

the headphone socket acts as a switch for main audio and headphone line. either u have a defective socket or the power amp is defective. headphone line is driven by a preamp, which is working - if power amp is defective- headphone works but power amp fails. try changing the headphone socket first.

Wireless headphone hook up

Hello depends on how you hook it up as thee are several ways.

many receivers will output sound through the headphone jacks even when the speakers are left on.(my receivers require that you manually turn speaker A off when using headphones)

it may be possible for you to connect the headphones to a tape output but this will require headphones that have a volume control on them or an external.volume control knob.. You may encounter a problem as I am not sure if a tape output will provide enough signal to drive a pair of headphones. this would not be a problem if you use a pair of WIRELESS headphones as they have their own power source onboard..

A set of wireless headphones could also easily be connected to the output on the back of the TV but assuming you have your receiver plugged in to the TV audio out you may need a couple of Y adapter cables.

Also if your receiver has a pair of PRE OUT jacks those would work to power a set of wireless headphones may also power a wired set but once again not sure on power as I have never needed to try it.

Hope that helps a bit

Not enough sound from the headphones.

Every time you add another set of headphones it will cut the power sent to each headphone down as the power is shared between all the headphones being used. If you need it louder simply use less headphones as the unit does not have enough power to run all 3 at the volume you desire.

Low sound in headphone

I would say it is because the unit does not have a built in amplifier. The speakers are powered PC speakers of studio monitors I am guessing. Try plugging the headphones into the headphone jack of the speakers if they have a headphone jack or try a set of powered headphones out of the Edirol and see if it helps.

That should remedy the problem.
