Copier only copies half - Canon imageCLASS D320 Digital Copier

it is normal, just mixing, continue printing, it will slowly cover the page till the entire page is printed or copied, dont worry, just reuse the half printed paper till when the pages print complete.

enter service mode(*28*>copier>adjust>ae>) enter value 1 there touch ok and press reset twice check half tone copy and adjust from service mode accordingly.

1)So, your copie is half with good black color, and other half light, with possiblle white streaks?

IF YES: you need to clean the laser unit and replace the toner cylinder cleaning blade, also check the drum unit - if it got over 25000 copies change it too.

If thats the case replace fixing roller and bushings, and check the press. roller bushings.

It is a scanner problem. You need to take in in for a service tech to repair. It could be the scanner bulb, or laser.

printer won't print, red light flashing

Sounds like the charge corona wire may be out of place, or the scortron grid is shorting. It is NOT the HV unit.

Would you say that the bottom half is Ghosting? if so then the fuser hot roller teflon has worn and will need replacing.

If not please check the optical mirrors (Do not remove them only remove the top glass) for dust.
