You have to open the TV, and look for it at its main power supply regulator board. There is no fuse; outside it. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

take back off and check if fuse has blown. replace fuse with exactly same type and size. if fuse blows again it is unlikely to be the on-off switch.you may be lucky and fuse doesn't blow. tv will start up.

How to replace fuse on sanyo tv DS 24424

Actually, when a fuse blows, most of the time there is something that went bad and is causing the fuse to blow. Some TVs don't use the typical glass fuses. Instead the might use a surface mount soldered component. These components are usually labeled with the letter F for fuse. Example would be F1 or F2. They are usually found near the power cord or near the power supply. Hope this helps...

once you take off the back of the tv you can see where the power cord plugs in and there is a thin metal cover you pull that off and unplug the power cord from the board and right in front of that under the other metal cover you will see a small fuse with a white middle. pull it uot and get a new one. i think that is what you are looking for

your power supply " igniter " has gone bad.
have somebody with some electrical expertise to take a look at it, it may be the fuse that is located right after the power connection. i have replaced several of them, if that fuse is ok. the is your coil.

Pwer flashes 5 green 6 red

6 blinks is most likely thermal fuse failure. parts should be available through sony. thermal fuse is a 2 pin device under the lamp cartridge(looking from back) metal oblong looking peice that is screwed into the bottom of the tv. the new thermal fuse sent from sony will look completly different and as long as you cut the wires on the old one you can leave it in the tv and position the new fuse around the old one.
