SOURCE: FUJI FINEPIX S5000 - Screen purple in Camera mode - No picture

This is a chip problem... My FIRST S7000, had this problem, and I had it replaced by Fuji {out of warranty}, now today, the SECOND S7000 is doing the exact same thing!

Contact Fuji at their New Jersey offices for info on how to get your camera repaired.

SOURCE: Overexposure problem after the black screen

Given that the 15' batteries out trick is just a way of forcing the iris to get un stick i think your iris is probably still getting stuck (but this time open a bit).
you could try doing the 15' trick a few more times in the hope of loosening it a bit.
ultimately once you have had this issue i think you are living on borrowed time before it happens again unless you get it fixed by canon.

Thin blue line on all pictures

Try resetting the electronics to factory defaults. Re the flash - if it continues to stick get it open and leave it like that until you find out just what it is that is causing it to stick. Mechanical issue and do able.

A thick blue horizontal line appeared in my LCD screen and won't go away. I can still take pictures and they print out fine, but how can I get rid of the blue line?

This is probably a problem with your LCD monitor or the connections to it. Does the blue line show in all situations such as record, playback, and menu mode?
Test your monitor by plugging into your camera the TV cord that came with your camera. Connect to a TV and use it as a monitor when your camera is on. be sure to switch to the TV to channel three or video to get a picture. Check the different screen modes: record, play, and menu. If the blue line does not appear on the TV then there is damage to your monitor or its connections. My guess is you won't see the blue line on your TV since you get good prints. If you are on warranty, get it fixed. Otherwise, you have a choice between paying for a repair or living with it. Good luck.

PT-47WX, Blue streaks across the screen?

It is not a bulb. It is a picture tube. If there are thin blue lines across the entire screen, not just the edges, and the picture itself looks too blue, it means that the blue picture tube is being driven too hard. This could be because the blue screen voltage is too high, the boost voltage on the blue picture tube is too low, or the video output is leaky or shorted. If the picture has what looks like blue arcs and double images on one or more sides of the picture, it means that one of your convergence IC's has burned out and needs to be replaced. These are things that should be tested and serviced by a qualified tech, so allow an experienced tech to handle it for you.

Black pictures with blue lines running horrizontally through them

If you are able to see the picture in the LCD in black color and if there are no damages to the LCD -the LCD is fine. There is a back light panel attached behind the LCD which may be defective.Check for the loose connections. If you need spare parts contact me.
