This stopped putting out steam. Also the hose would never stay in the socket...nothing to tighten it down to stay in.

Euro-Pro X

Check the hose for something clogging it. It will be past the flattened area (by that I mean further from the steam cleaner). It sounds like something got stuck in the hose, and as the steam cleaner kept sucking on the hose, it caused the hose to flatten.

Polti pro Eco 3000.

The iron has a attachment that enters the hose that opens the stop valve in the end of the hose, so the steam can enter the iron .

Rowenta 1500 garmet steamer no longer makes steam

Someone else had this fix and it worked for me: (yay!)
*Remove water tank and collapse the hanger bar.
*Remove two screws at base of hose and work the hose off. It will come out.
*Unplug unit and hold over your kitchen sink with the hose inlet pointing into the sink.
* use your kitchen sink sprayer to forcefully spray water into this hole and it will come back out again releasing the gunk that has been stopping up the unit.
* for good measure, I also used the sink sprayer to flush out the hose.
Put everything back together. And make sure it is dry before you plug it in.
VOILA!!! WORKS GOOD AS NEW. HAPPINESS!

Issues with Rowenta Steam Iron DG 05030 steam hose

Does your iron have a self cleaning feature? It sounds to me like you have calcium build up and when you squeeze the hose it displaces the "clog" just enough to allow steam through.

I love my iron, BUT I used to be able to clean it by the recommended method, but now it will not shoot out steam to clean the holes. It does not steam on clothes even though I prees the steam button. ...

Put in as much white vinegar as possible and then turn iron on. Let it stay on for about 30 minutes the try the steam button. Once the steam button begins to work empty the vingar an fill with distilled water to rinse. You'll need to rinse several times to get all of the vinegar out.

Solenoids workin, steam lines fine, but no steam

take hose off from iron end, press iron button ,breifly! keep tight hold of hose [best to put towel around hose while holding]see if steam comes out.if not hose could be blocked, then take hose from solenoid end and press button .if no steam comes out the solenoid is either faulty or the valve hole inside is blocked, turn off power and take nut off top of solenoid ,check spring and plunger for condition.the small hole may be blocked in the solenoid housing, try a needle in the hole to clear any blockage.
