An error E001 should have a detail code with it.

Detail Code 0001:

  • The main thermistor (TH1) has a short circuit.
  • The fixing heater drive circuit has a fault.
  • The DC controller PCB has a fault
  • The image processor PCB has a fault.
Description
The output of the main thermistor has exceeded 220 C.

Detail Code 0002:
Cause
The sub thermistor has detected overheating.
  • The main thermistor (TH1) has a short circuit.
  • The fixing heater drive circuit has a fault.
  • The DC controller PCB has a fault
  • The image processor PCB has a fault.
Description
The output of the sub thermistor has exceeded 235 C.

Detail Code 0003:

  • The SSR has a fault.

Ir 3300 000001-0002 error

Title : E001 Error Code That is Not Resetable Error : paper jam
When the machine powers up the E001 error code is displayed but cannot be reset. (Note: The reset procedure for an E001 code is COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR)
Workaround :
In this case, the Main Power Supply PCB Assembly was replaced. The machine was powered up and the E001 code was able to be reset. The part number for the Main Power Supply Assembly is FM2-0260-000.
Remember, if the fixing unit circuitry has an open or a short, the code may not reset. Be sure to confirm the fixing unit wiring and try resetting the code before replacing the Main Power Supply Assembly. Canon USA, Inc. Systems & Technical Support Division1-800-528-2830

Canom imagerunner 2520 error e000001

Hello,
the e001 is error for the temperature rise detection in fixing unit. There are more sub codes that I need to know for precise troubleshooting. i.e. E001-000 or E001-001 or E001-002

But if there is no fault in components, you can try to reset it in service mode.

Procedure:
additional function, then press 2 and 8 then go in clear by pressing scrolling, then go in engine, then choose ERRCLR and then turn off and on the copier.

If these doesn't helps you need to replace fixing film unit.

Ihave canon 400 problems. e051, e901, e805 problems frequently please suggest me

Hello,
by the look at your problems:

E051 - Horizontal registration sensor problems
E001 - Fixing temperature faulty
E805 - The Fan rotation problems

It can be that You have problems with DC contoller ( main pcb ) or the copier is in worst condition and there are faults on every segment.

For E001, you can try to reset error:

1. The following error codes cannot be reset by merely turning off and then on the main power.
They require resetting in service mode:
E000, E001, E002, E003, E004, E032, E717
1) Start service mode, and select COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
2) Press the OK key.
3) Turn off and then on the main power.
2. Error codes other than the above may be reset by turning off and then on the main power.
n Detail Code
Some error codes offer detail codes, which may be checked in service mode:
COPIER>DISPLAY>ERR (3rd block from the right)

BUT I THINK THAT THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO CALL SERVICE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM OR YOU BUY NEW MACHINE:..

Hope that helps!

Hi, Could you please help me with my Photocopier showing E001 and E003 after paper jammed, I have search the internet and i think you are the only one who could help me. Regards Katty

E001 is the universal code for an overheat issue. E003 is usually the main thermistor on fuser roller. Try gently cleaning face of thermistor, don't reset more than once in 15 min. or you may cause overheating and melt parts you don't want to.

E001

you may want a tech to do this.
E000, E001, E002, E003 CODES
To reset these codes perform the following:
Remove the front panel and be careful not to bend or break the flexible
cable connected to the panel and the DC Controller.
Turn on the copier and short the jumper wires JP3 and JP4 on the dc
controller pcb with a screwdriver.
The count ratio indicator on the control panel turns on 'F'. When 'F'
is turned on stop shorting the jumper wires
Turn off copier and turn it back on and its then reset.

E001 switch off the machine and on again

E001 is a fixing assy fault you have to clear the error in service mode after correcting the fault of course. I would try clearing the error code in service mode 1st. press *28* function tab clear tab error ok then restart copier
