My best guess is maybe... If its the model where the controller can be unplugged from the blanket then i would try and get a new controller for it, if its the cheaper model they sell that the controller is permanently on a cord from the blanket then most likely not. The other problem is generally they shut off when there is an issue, it could be a broken connection or broken heating element in the blanket itself and its shutting back off due to the fault. So best suggestion i can make, see if you can find a replacement controller or contact their customer support about getting a replacement, if the controller costs almost as much as a new blanket then just get a new blanket. I know how nice an electric blanket is!!
I\'m having the same problem as Jenn. Tried unplugging it and left it for a day. Both sides are now not working. How can I get it to work again? Husband is having a hissy. Please just tell me what to do. or tell me how to download the manual. Haven\'t had this for very long 2 months. if any help.Mary Ellen I did love this when it did work.
Yes you can. Though memory foam mattresses are temperature sensitive and absorb temperature from the climate, but still it is perfectly fine to use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress. For more on how to use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress, you can read this article http://www.ehow.com/how_5768635_use-electric-blanket-memory-foam.html
First off, why are you using an electric blanket in the middle of a heat wave??? Oh, never mind, I just looked up the manufacturer who was located in New South Wales, and I guess you Blokes and Sheilas in Australia are in the middle of winter. The manufacturer is located in Mascot, NSW, but no longer makes the blankets. Try contacting them directly to see if cords are available. If the chewed section is between the blanket and the transformer, you
will most likely be better off buying a new one. The first link is to a discussion about Riviera Electric Blankets, and the second is a retailer in Sydney that carries new blankets from $39 to $150. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/1270333.html http://www.lasoo.com.au/category/electric-blankets.html
