Canon Pixma iP4500 suddenly quit...will not power on. Power cord is fine, works with other Canon printer. Printed a document beautifully, then just went dead. No trauma or power surge. Just bought new ink for this unit! Any solution?

It's possible the power supply died, however, there is a 3amp fuse on the slide in power unit that could have blown. I would check it before taking it to the recycling pile. If you mess with it be careful around capacitors, they'll hold a charge even if not connect to power for several days.

Go here. Type "how to install ink" in the search box. Click "Search", then select "How do I install the ink cartridge(s)". You will get instructions with pictures on how to prepare and install the cartridges.

ok I figured out what to do. Open the over take out all your ink cartriages. Then flip the print head level on the left hand side up and squeeze the top of the print head (where all your ink sits on) and lift it up. You may want to blow off any dust that may be in there and put the peint head back and replace al your ink put the level down and you should be good to go if not you may have to replace the head.
