The signal sent from the computer is going between multiple projectors, but only one is giving out speckled letters.
There are a lot of dust on the Lcd panel
3 panels (red ,blue,and green) in the Projector
purple speckles means that the dust on the Green ,
1,pick the Lcd prism from the projector
2,clean it by putting it into water,with some cleaner
3,dry it with a hair dryer

Don't forget to select the Fn key and F4 on HP laptops. It could also be the Fn key and F8 depending on the laptop brand. It is the apple key and the F7 key on a Mac notebook. On Laptops this will toggle the video to the aux port where the monitor cable connects to the projector. There are 3 modes. video on the laptop screen, video on the laptop and projector, or video to the projector only.

True, The 15 pin connector at the back of your computer (the one your screen normally plucs into {its blue color coded}) Is your vga output, Now on the projector side, you have the same connector, Called your VGA input. You just need to connect a male-male vga cable between your projector, and pc, and puth the AUTOSEARCH button on the projector. And you should get an image.

might be a ground issue. plug it into other outlets and make sure the ground prong is still attached to the plug.
