The heat could be coming from the magnetron. they will still heat up even if not outputting any power. the magnetron is more than likely bad.

The microwave sends out a strong radio frequency burst that vibrates the water molecules in your food and causes them to heat through friction.

If there is no heat at all, but you can hear the magnetron humming, it is probably bad. if there is uneven heat, the wave stirrer that distributes the microwaves around the cooking chamber may be bad. it will heat only one spot unless the wave stirrer is rotating.

You can use to set the timing in order of the heat required. Also using the grade rating of the heating coupled with the time set, the food can be easily heated without burning.
To start with use low heat and long time, the try with medium heat and lesser time and then choose high heat and short time. You must be able to use the settings accordingg to your requirement.
