I have a 3516 chain saw mod22-600035-18 Mcculloch the fuel lines

I have a 3516 chain saw mod22-600035-18 the fuel lines rotted .there is 2 lines from the primer ball 2 lines into the tank and 1 line on the top of the carb.and 1 line on the side of the carb. what is the routing of the lines .thanks jeff

I took it a part changing a fuel line now I need help put it back together! he he he :) anybody got pictures 4 assembling this chain saw McCat 16?

Okay I figured it out finally. One line from fuel tank with filter goes to bottom connection on carb, or right hand side furthest away from start er cord. The line on the other side of carberator goes to short nipple on primer bulb. then the center nipple on bulb goes to return line into tank, not good at typeing hope this helps took me 2 hours of trial and error to get it to run.

I wish I could help. There are no parts available, there are no Exploded parts lists I've found a link to. These are Chinese chainsaws with the McCulloch name. They ARE Chinese chainsaws and I'm disappointed in Mac. Most mechanics won't touch them. We can provide no more help with this saw. Sorry

Poulan or Craftsman gasoline chainsaws are reasonably inexpensive, parts are available, and given a little TLC perform well.

Yes you can do a generic one, just get to any chain saw rea pair shop and tell them your problem or go to Mcculloch.

A McCulloch Mac 3516 model model 21-600035-59. (may not be your saw):

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best; components are listed but may be on different illustrations.

If properly plumbed your saw will run with the carburetor to primer hose capped off.

Mcculloch 3516 chain saw, does not always start.
It must have spark, fuel and compression to run. Your task is to figure out which is missing.
Sometimes electrical components quit operating once beyond a certain temperature. Does it always start cold and become tempermental when warm?
IMO most hard start problems on a chainsaw with a good fuel delivery system are flooded.
Start Procedure
Cold:
  1. Ignition on/off to on
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws); pull starter and listen for an attempt to start. once heard (usually two pulls; no more than 4)
  4. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  5. Push (open) choke pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)
Warm:
  1. Ignition on/off to on
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws) - Don’t pull with choke closed.
  4. Push (open) choke, pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)
The 3516 is a MTD McCulloch (Chinese). These saws are in a class by themselves. Good Luck
