SOURCE: Dryer won't dry

Sounds like a ventilation issue. Remove the dryer vent tube and take a leaf blower to it and try to blow it out as best as you can. Also check outside to see if something is blocking the vent. Birds and mice love to build nests in that nice warm vent tube. The ole leaf blower will remove these nice little woodland creatures with force, yet its totally humane, and wont hurt them a bit. If this doesnt work, you may have to run to your local building supply center or hardware store and get one of those inexpensive brushes that you can use to clean out your lint areas. A good test to see if you have good airflow is to remove your lint filter (if its a top filter), turn on the unit, and drop a small piece of lint down the tunnel. If it zooms right down, then its good. If it just kinda hangs around, its not that good. If you have a way to check the entire length of the vent tube, look to be sure that there is no dips or kinks. Also, remember that the shortest and straightest vent tube, is the best vent tube. Let me know how it turns out, or if you need further information. Good Luck!!!! Jim

SOURCE: Can't remove dryer blower wheel

I would start by taking off the top and checking the belt to see if part of it tore and is hitting the inside of the cabinet. I have not found a real good way to get the blowers out without having to break them sometimes. the part of the blower that you have to hold is access through the front behind the motor. problem is when you turn the motor shaft, the wrench strips out on the blower, then you have to break them, but unless you need a new motor, it should not have to come off.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Imperial Series Dryer is Not Drying But Has Heat

Make sure it's blowing air out the vent outside. But even though it's heating doesn't mean it's heating 100 percent so u might need a heating element. Not to expensive to buy and often not to hard to change, refer to owners Manuel or a computer on how to change it.

Lint trap doesn't sit right in dryer. It sticks up and clothes ge caught on edges., ripping clothes

Take the lint trap out, and look inside the slot where it goes. You will see a lot of built up lint which will have to be removed so you can slide the trap back down to the bottom.

If you take front of dryer off, there is a half moon shaped piece of felt on top of door opening that most likely has worn and leaves a gap between drum and where that felt is. Replace that for right drum fit.

The lint filter does not fit properly in the lint trap. The corner of the filter catches an item of clothing and twists it. I have to check it several times to clear the item away. I assume this...

We have the same model and experience the same thing. The way I fix it is to remove the filter, then with a flash light I look down into the lint trap. You will notice that lint has built up in the track where the lint filter sits. I use a wooden skewer to run along the track and lift out the lent. Hope that helps

Torn clothes

there should have been a plastic gaurd on the lint catcher inside to keep this from happening, at anytime when taking your clothes out did you find something you might have though how did that get in there> could have been it, or look under the dryer and see if it made it's way out past the drum to the floor

Kenmore Model #110 washer

They have not been putting lint catchers in washers for 15+ years now. The new method the 110 washers use is by having rough sharp edges on the outside of the basket (where you place your clothes) As the water runs through the holes in the basket lint is caught by these sharp edges. Once the spin cycle begins, the lint is flung to the outer tub and washed down the drain in the house.
