Stuck on whisper mode

I think my 2 yr old son managed to turn whisper mode on, but now i can't turn it off. Maybe he did more than just that. During a call, i hit options, and it says "whisper mode on" but the words are grey instead of black and i cannot change it to "whisper mode off"  so i can't hear anyone that calls me, they can't hear me, i can't hear any of my mp3 songs, the only sound is from the volume button when i turn the volume up or down. any ideas? I'm at a loss.

thanks, quick response too. But unfortunately it doesn't help much, the directions say to hit options, and turn off/on whisper mode. which is what i am trying to do, but the words are grey, and will not change from on to off. it is not giving me access to change it i guess. i just don't know why. do you have any other ideas? other ways to turn off whisper mode? or some other setting that would turn off all sound but the volume button?

How to put cell phone to speakerphone mode

Manual:
http://www.cellphones.ca/upload/manuals/samsung-sph-m300-manual.pdf

From Page 39 of the manual:

Selecting Options (right softkey) during a call displays a list of
features you may use during the course of a call. To select an
option, press the corresponding keypad number or highlight
the option and press . The following options are available
through the Options menu:
 (1) Key Mute/Unmute allows you to mute the microphone
on your phone so the caller is unable to hear any sound.
 (2) Turn Speaker On enables the speakerphone feature.
 (3) Set Whisper increases the microphone to its maximum
level. During a call turn on Set Whisper when speaking
softly or when the caller cannot hear your voice clearly.
This mode is useful in meetings or public places.
 (4) Call History checks your call log for Outgoing, Incoming,
Missed, and Recent calls. You can also erase the logs from
this menu.
 (5) Contacts accesses the Contacts menu.
 (6) 3-Way Call allows you to talk to two different people at
the same time. (For more information, see “Making a
Three-Way Call” on page 189.)
 (7) Messaging accesses the Messaging menu options.
 (8) Voice Memo allows you to record incoming audio from
your conversation. (For more information, see “Managing
Voice Memos” on page 135.)
 (9) Tools accesses the Tools menu options.

Whisper mode

The problem might be the hearing volume. As far as I know, the only way to change it is in the middle of a call.

Here's what you should try...

1) Call someone.
2) Using the silver button on the left side of the phone, press the up arrow key a few times until the volume is all the way up. It will say "Hearing Volume".
3) During the call, go into the options menu and select the first option that will say "Whisper Mode On/Off". Select that and your problem should be fixed.

My 7 yr. old son, somehow, turned my screen black, with white print. It's very ******* the eyes. I've gone into easy access and nothing is checked off, but the black screen remains,,,,HELp!!!!!

I have a feeling he turned on high contrast mode (supposedly it's meant to make reading the screen easier for people who are disabled, I think it just hurts everyone's eyes). To change that, right click on your desktop and go to appearance and click on the top pulldown menu and select windows xp style. Hopefully that will fix it.
