Any radio can have Talk Back.. all it is is leaving the RX active on TX and the sampled audio goes to the speaker that you can hear....

SOURCE: how do u make the talkbalk louder on a connex

There are problems with having a loud talk back. You can get feed back and an annoying squeal when you transmit. That is why the talk back isn't that loud to begin with.

The reason you use talk back is to check your echo, and make sure your mic gain is not too high. It shouldn't need to be that loud to check it.

I highly recommend you leave it at the level that it is.

If you're wanting to talk on your basic 40 channel then a/d and on high band. Always keep your mic gain and rf gain to the right echo I like both around 10 o'clock. nbl at the top.talk back is up to you if you want to hear yourself and run it on high power unless you're running a power box then switch to low power.

Hooked up my connex 3300hp backwards

this usually just blows the fuse, check/replace and try again, if it pops the fuse, the protection diode has shorted and the radio needs to be serviced

I want my talk back louder on my connex 3300hp

  • Under the top cover of the radio is the solder side and a 440 Kilo Ohm resistor (See Pic)

  • More resistance will quite the talk back. Less resistance will make it louder. You will need to experiment a bit to find the level that suits you. I would start with a 200 Kilo Ohm.
  • This is for the more common Connex with the knob that has an adjustment for echo/talkback. If you have the other on then say so and I will direct you for that one.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.

Have a new connex 3300hp i can hear everybody else but nobody can hear me when i key up and talk the needle dont even move

look up the tune specs VR13 (L PWR) L32 L33 high power maybe your watts are turned down if it is brand new send it back to the place you bought it from.If the watts are turned all the way down you won't get any carrier your needle is not moving when tranmitting there is no rf power check to see if your tx light is on when depressing the mic button. you should have a rf adjustment turn it clockwise to turn the power up on the front of your radio.or the mods i gave you in the radio.
