It sounds like the problem is with the louvre swing motor which is either opening or closing the louvre but not stopping at the end. This is due to a faulty intergrated circiut (IC) programmable chip on the PC board. Only way to get around it is to replace the board.

We have recently purchased a new home and the UBHK-25J21SFA air handler makes a whistling little tune and then the heat comes on. Never fails to work but noise is annoying.

Make sure the air is balanced... air handlers are rated @ a certain design static pressure. The static rating is on the air handler tag. Have someone measure that static. Too often hvac installers don't know much about airflow & they will undersize ductwork. Then again it could just be a dirty coil.

Making random loud bursts.

Connection wires? If your connection wires aren't that great or just won't plug in correctly or are not connected correctly the sound jumps in and out with random loud burst or sometimes a really annoying scratching sound.

make sure nothing is obstructing the plugs (going in), re wrap your wires(if you have the type of speaker with the loose wires you wrap yours) or upgrade your connection wires/plugs.

This may help? :)

I have a new trane system - thermostat makes an annoying clicking sound every 10-15 minutes -

Sorry to say, that annoying clicking sound is the thermostat calling for cooling/heat. Whenever the temperature is reached it will "click" off and then "click" back on when needed. Some thermostats are quieter, but all digital thermostats will have that sound. Sorry again and I hope this answers your question!

My new ViP612 has started making this annoying

Hello there! Becki Barned with Dish Network customer service here! The sound that you are hearing is probably the hard drive spinning. If it makes a clicking noise, then the receive may need to be replaced. Try moving the receiver to a well ventilated area, so that the receiver gets enough air, and if that doesn't work, blog back, we can help from there, or you can reach us on Twitter!

Trane air handler cycling rapidly

Depending on the age of your Trane unit. The fan relay has a time delay. This is a solid state board on the relay. Most of the time they stick on or off. Check for loose wires. But start with relay.
