SOURCE: Konica Minolta Dynax 5D/Maxxum 5D turns itself off after first shoot

It sounds like that's the first black frame problem that is a fairly common defect with the cameras, so much so that Sony is repairing it for free, for more info, see:

http://ca.konicaminolta.com/information/20070202/01_en.html

then go to:

go to menu, move over to wrench, select. then move down to ctrl dial set. select aperture. now go back up and get out of menu. now you want to select "M" on your right dial.,turn your clicker knob on the front right of camera, and there you can click to bulb. hope that made sense!

SOURCE: I believe I must get

Unfortunately Konica-Minolta stopped supporting their cameras in late 2010. So all of thier support and downloads no longer exist. You can contact a service center and they may or may not have a disk. This link goes to a list of repair depots. I don't know your location so I can't narrow it down more for you. I do not believe they made drivers for Vista so you may have problems even if we can find drivers.

I did a quick search for drivers online. Sometimes resellers will offer downloads from thier websites so it is worth a try. I searched using the following keywords"Konica Minolta Digital Camera drivers" I found a few but some of those are in the iffy category or the pay type. This link is to CNet which is legitimate so try this and see if it works.

You may be able to find the cd on ebay or craigslist so it may be worth looking there as well.

I have a konica Monota model DG-5D camera and the USB port is not recognized when I connect it to my PC. I am attempting to down load my pictures to computer and the massage reported from the PC is...

I could not find a Konica Minolta Model DG-5D camera listed on the support web pages.
I did find a "DYNAX5D/Maxxum5D" that had driver software for Windows 98/98se.
If you're using XP or later, these drivers probably won't help you though.
Can you confirm the model number?

My Monolta Dynax 5D judders on startup, then the shake reduction display flashes then it wont take pictures or turn off. It just shows br1 in viewfinder display

It would appear from other sites and users that the anti-shake mech has failed and the cost to repair outweighs the value so I will stick with my SonyA700, sell the lenses and filters I dont need and scrap the body. Thanks for the reply.

Out of funcion

This is a known issue with a fault with the charged couple device CCD.  If you contact Konica Minolta / Sony in your city they should replace it as a recall.
