Yes your phone will work in Europe if it works with any type of Sim card..

But if it has network restrictions that is if it works with only a particular type of Sim card that isn't present in Barcelona, Vodafone or Orange for example,

Then you will need a to unlock the network restriction

If you have the phone`s manual look for the frequencies it operates, it may have some different ones which does not work in Europe. If you have "GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900"
that means you have to unlock it (you need to go to a service for that). It`s a cheap operation.

This phone is a triband cell phone, it means that it works only with 900, 1800, 1900 mhz. band. If you have an AT&T SIM card, it probably means that AT&T is using the 850mhz. band which can't be use with the LG you have. Also if the AT&T SIM card is a 3G card it wouldn't work either, this phone work only with 2G's card.

Your phone will work in Europe without any modification.
A friend of mine leaves for Ireland next week and he gave me the scoop.
Call AT&T and tell them when and where you will be in Europe.
They will set you up so your phone works while you are there.

if the phone is supported by a GSM carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile etc.) it should work in europe, just remember the power outlets are different in europe, so you'll need a different kind of charger ;)

Any adapter that accepts up to 220volts will work with just the plug end adapter. However if it only accepts 110 you will need to purchase a voltage converter.
