What size motor and how loud is the treadmill?

you should remove the motor cover and inspect to see if you can locate where is came from. check the incline motor

First get down and listen to where the noise is coming from, is it from where the motor is, or the rollers at each end of the treadmill? There may be dirt or hair stuck in some rotating part, or it may be the motor bearings wearing out.

The grinding noise could be asking for lube. If that is possible, do it.

The size should be written right on the motor

1) LUBE the deck belt, the lack of this produce enough frictiona and loud, maybe you have a WORN deck belt.
2) LUBE the rollers bearing too.
3) Test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor is faulty, repair.
4) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage board, if there are NOT the board is faulty.

This definitely sounds like the drive motor. One way to check is to remove the drive belt and run the motor without the walk belt connected. Obviously if you still have the noise it will be a motor issue. If not then it will be one of the 2 rollers. Good Luck! Tim
