How do I change melodies?

The melodies should change each hour on it's own. You can change the melodies manually by pressing the demo button repeatedly. If the songs don't change each hour, you might try new batteries. I'd recommend Japanese batteries like Fuji, or Toshiba. I use Varta which is a German brand battery that's equivalent to either Duracell, or Energizer, and have no problems. If you've had the clock for a number of years, or have had it hanging in direct sunlight, or near a heat source it could be in need of professional assistance, and or repair. (if possible)

When my melodies in motion clock plays the music (Beatles), it sounds distorted.

You may have a loose speaker wire connection or the speaker could be bad.

My seiko musical wall clock doesn't play music anymore

To test your Seiko Melodies in Motion Clock:

1) Check the volume knob in the back of the Seiko clock to make sure the volume has not been adjusted all the way down.
2) Make sure the on / off switch is set to on.
3) If it is extremely dark in the room, the clock will not play, it has a light sensor. Make sure the room is well lit.
4) There are separate batteries usually that operate the clock and the music. Change the batteries paying special attention to any acid / corrosion caused by old batteries. Clean out any acid and it should play. Also, be careful not to touch the positive or negative contacts on the new batteries, as this could inhibit proper connection.

If you have done each step above and it is still not operating, your clock is defective. Contact Seiko Service Center directly at: 800-722-4452 extension 3.

If you have had the clock less than a year, and it was purchased from an authorized dealer, it is under warranty, and any repairs will be free. Otherwise, there may be a charge for the repair.
