Probably not. the Xbox 360 has a pretty crappy track record when it comes to original xbox games. IF your game is compatible(you'll have to google it, only a select few are) there isn't even necessarily a guarantee it will work. For example, i have mercenaries 1, and the screen turns completely blue at random times then crashes.
presign of the rrod its the gpu overheating since two red lights apply to cpu only when the gpu overheats it causes system crash on the screen you can do two things replace the thermal paste or try keeping the inside cooler but it will eventully rrod but may stop it for many months or years right know i have a moded intercooler and a high fan pointed at it now the xbox puts out warm air at the most fixed my screen freezing and has worked for about half a year without freezing you can also call microsoft or look how to mod the x clamps that causes the system crashes
This is a precursor to a bigger problem. If this just started and you have an older Xbox, you should start to expect game crashing and potentially the Red Rings of Death. Try to clear your system cashe and play a different game. Otherwise, expect more problems.
This is likely due to Hardware Failure. Your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has likely overheated to the extent of artifacting which is when the device begins to have trouble rendering objects and images and crashes constantly. The only viable solution is to send it in if you still have warranty, Otherwise, you'll have to either buy a new Xbox 360 or send it in for repairs from microsoft.
ur graphics card in ur xbox is over heating or playing up u may need to change the x clamps or put thermal paste on the chips also u could try and flash ur hard drive
buy a fan for your xbox 360, if it continues contact microsoft and see if they have a solution, it could be an internal problem that needs repairing, i have the same problem but i am going to get a fan which will cool the 360, and reduce the chance of my 360 breaking
when it crashes does it turn off the whole system or does any lights come on?
sounds like the the processor is over heating and its causing the system to shut down before it burned up the board. basicly your thermal paste between your processor and the heatsink isnt doing its job. there could be a crack on it might have just degraded over time.
