SOURCE: Power cord and battery's support NO power to Video Camera

This incident happens often and damages the camcorder's power board. Replacing power board and some adjustment should resolved the problem. Your cost may run from $175-$225 in US for this model. Whenever you are transfering and connecting to pc, it is recommended to connect AC adapter power for this. Do not rely on a charged battery. Good luck.

SOURCE: i have i guess connetion problems

There are a few possibilities. One of the contact pins on the camera may be dirty or bent. The wiring coming from the pins to the circuit board inside the camera may be broken. A fuse inside of the camera may be blown (if there is a separate fuse for battery power). The battery even though it was charging for many hours may still be drained because it's old or defective - check the battery voltage with a digital volt meter to verify, and for absolute verification you should check the battery voltage under load when it's plugged into the camera and the camera is switched ON - is the voltage more or less constant or did the battery get loaded down and voltage level is now way below spec? Those in my mind would be the first few things to check.
Good luck.

I don't know where you got your information but, most of it is incorrect. Your camera can use two types of batteries: rechargeable EN-MH1 using the MH-70 battery charger or a non-rechargeable CRV3. The camera cannot be charged with a cord to the camera. Also, new EN-MH1 batteries will discharge quickly for the first few charges and then give good service thereafter.

My camera no longer powers on. I bought a new

Not using a camera much, along with time and chemical degradation within the battery itself, and oxidation on contacts both within the camera and on the battery, can cause this problem. It's always best to measure the voltage on a power cord with a voltmeter, but in your case it's probably good since it's new. In certain types of rechargeable batteries, you have to "recycle" them with at least 3 or 4 different charging periods. This is true for new or old ones that haven't been used much. It takes this to get them to fully charge. Make sure the battery is charged fully, if you try a new one, upon discovering a bad or shorted present battery. If it still doesn't work, clean the battery contacts both inside and outside the camera. They can be corroded slightly from battery leakage, or just oxidation from humidity over time. Use a pencil eraser, and wipe them with alcohol and a soft cloth or q-tip. Hopefully, you will have it working. If not, it could be a corroded contact pad on the on/off switch, or something even trickier. Make sure you get an estimate if you should elect to have it repaired. That will usually tell you whether it's time to buy a new one, as you're thinking, anyway. Try these simple things, you might get lucky. Good luck!

Sounds to me like the transformer circuit that enables the batery to charge. If you have bought your machine within the last 12 months it should still be covered by warranty so go back to the supplier. If not covered I wouod still try as it is not beyond reasonable expecations that the machine will operate perfectly in very way for more than 1 year.

Taking the fact that you already replaced the battery into consideration, chances are that you have a faulty cord. Looks like you're going to need a new one mate.

Charging problems

The AC adapter is only used as an alternate power source for the camera. It is not intended to charge the battery for the camera in any way. In order to charge the camera's lithium battery you will need the charger that is designed for that battery.

PROBLEM WITH PENTAX OPTIO E10

It could be that the battery can't hold a charge anymore.

You will probably have to get a new battery.

Make sure the camera is working fine and that youre able to take pictures with the power cord plug in. If that works it isn't the camera, it's the battery.
