I have a KitchenAid Double oven KEBC208KSS02. The fan makes a loud noise from the time i turn on the oven (same for either the upper or the lower unit) until a few minutes after I turn it off. Everything works fine - just the noise.

There is a cooling fan for upper and lower oven they run at the same time no matter which oven in use it is fed from the oven manager no way to trouble shoot without pulling oven out some models use same fan for both so you could have a blower on hand remove back panels to access fans take a lead off fan to determine which one noisey
Kitchen aid is made by Whirlpool. There is a very good chance the then thermal fuse on the back of the oven has tripped. Whirlpools are very prone to this fuse tripping after a clean cycle. The noisy fan is just that a noisy fan it will probably need replacing. I have replace a couple of them over the years. When you pull the oven out to replace the thermal fuse replace the fan motor at the same tiome.
Hello, Their is a high limit thermostat that has tripped,on older model and on some newer models it has a red button on it that can be pushed in to reset it.Other times once it goes out it must be replaced. For the upper oven its behind the control panel, for the lower its behind the grill between upper and lower oven
I hope this helps you to understand why your oven wont heat, Gene
Absolutly could of course be the EOC (electronic oven control) since it does control both the upper and lower over. Sorry for your luck but just because a part has a high failure rate that manufacture isnt required ti issue a recall as long as thier isnt a saftey issue such as potential fire or what have ye
Hello. look in the yellow pages of your phone book for appliance repair. Find a store that sells or repairs kitchen aid. There are several possible causes for the problems you site. Only a trained repairman with the proper scanners and tools can isolate and fix your oven.
The fans are not normally repairable, but there is no problem obtaining replacements.
On a double oven, there are usually 2 fans fitted.
There is an external cooling fan usually fitted on the top of the oven, you would have to remove the top cover of oven to access it, and possibly the rear panel as well.
Then there is the fan fitted in the main oven compartment.
If you open the oven door as it is working, you should be able to determine if it is the fan oven or the external cooling fan that is the cause of the problem.
If you determine it is the fan in the oven that is noisy, then to undo the fan blade assy, you have unscrew the nut clockwise to remove it. as opposed to the normal way of undoing a nut.
