Dryer only stays on for 20 minutes, loads are not huge but do not dry, seem to be extremely "lint'intolerant": I cleaned the entire lint evacuation from both ends- did not help... Whthere I select any program or a timer-based program, it does not change: after 20 min the dryer stops, the clothes are neither warm or dry. so basically, every 20 min I have to restart my dryer, but I am not really sure that it actually heats up.

have you checked the vent line it could be stopped up if the line is bent same affect as the lint filter being full

I had the same problem and figured if the lint sensor is clogged, covered or otherwise gummed up with lint, dirt, hair, etc then this will continue to happen regardless of wether the lint trap is clean.
So I took my compressor and blew out the slot where the trap slides into...stuff flew everywhere (so watch your eyes or wear goggles). I then vaccumed it up and did it again... and again and again each time loads of stuff came out. Once nothing blew out I loaded the dryer and have not had the problem since...
This makes sense right? so if you can try this solution.

i would check the actual electrical connections, to both the unit, and the downline connections to that actual element itself, its unusual for an elemnt to only go a lilttle bit... it works or it doesn't...
since you seemed to be very knowlegable, ohm
out the element as well as your plug and outlet
ther emay be a loose connection somewhere

this could be a faulty moisture sensor. try running the dryer in a timed dry mode and see what happens.also be sure to make sure all the duct work is free and clear and that the lint filter is clean

My wife has a Bosch Premium dryer that had drying problems. The lint filter would get cleaned but the machine still did not operate correctly, as you explained above. Her machine was made in 2005 and the lint screen, the plastic slotted unit in front of the lint filter was the problem. It gets clogged up with hair/lint that never makes it to the filter. I tried a shop vac to vacuum it but the problem was still there. Get a pistol cleaning kit for a 22 cal gun. Pull the lint filter out & then take the pistol rod and insert it from the drum side into each slot and pull out the tons of lint. Pull the lint off the rod when done and take a flame to burn the rest off as the rod is a brass brush with small wires on it.
