DVD won't play - Sony DAV-C450 System

Does it play a cd? If so than the decoder for the dvd portion of the head unit may be bad. I would replace it if that's the case.

May not have been finalized properly and is therefore corrupt.

You need to change the region code in the user menu under dvd settings.

It won't play for one of two reasons:
1. There is something inside the DVD player, which keeps it from playing.
2. The DVD player's battery has run out of juice and can no longer play, meaning the player needs to be replaced.

a lot of time u can go to web and find free downloads that will help you one website i go to alot is filehippo.com go there and download K-Lite Codec Pack 7.07 that should let u play any dvd u would like to see .

Download div x codec and also update your video drivers.

If the "bad" disks work fine in some other DVD-player, then it's time to spend $40 and buy a new DVD-writer.

Or, if your current DVD-player is under the manufacturer's warranty, exercise the warranty, to get it repaired/replaced.

If you are trying to play blue ray on this unit you are out of luck no amount of firmware will make it play something it is not capable of doing.

you need to set the area in the settings menu.get the manual for it and it explains how to do it.every unit has a different procedure
