Epson R230 printing unwanted lines

When I go to print anything Epson prints lines across A4 paper (like writing pad lines) I do 3 head cleans then print off a few pages before unwanted lines disappear. I have installed SSC Service Utility and reset protection counter, did a Powerful head Clean with it plus normal clean but printer still prints unwanted lines. Epson techs no help at all, so I am hoping someone can tell me how to fix this problem please

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

The problem seems to be under the actual print arm with two stray fibres catching on the paper when it prints , running ink across the page in the same position when printing a document, any suggestions for under arm cleaning for this at all?

My Epson R320 prints blue lines across and over all my printing including DVD printing is the anyone out there that can help it loohs just like a writing pad that contains lines peter

Epson told me it needed to be serviced but I did not accept that. It was hardly used. But everything I tried failed at first. Cleaning the print head barely showed any inprovement. Finally I just removed all the ink cartridges, then just put them back in. Something reset is my guess. Cleaned again and now it is printing without any lines. As good as new so far...

Blank paper print in R230

try checking the pump assembly of the unit. if it is clogged, the printhead wont clean and theres a possiblility that you will not get a printout. also check the head cable to see if there are no cut traces.

Blank paper no IMAGE or TEXT

In case anyone else runs across this, the problem is caused by a blown fuse on the main board. It is labeled F1 and it is near the 3 tall blue capacitors. If you have a meter you can check across it,if it reads anything more than a couple of ohms it is bad. This is a fast acting 2.5A fuse. You can get a fuse and fuse holder at on line or at your local Radio Shack or similar store. I know the 230 is the European/Asian version so I don't know if you have something like a Radio Shack. The R220 is the US version and it is identical.

You can jump it out but this is not recommended. If the fuse is not there, you could cause more expensive problems later.

the glossy paper you are using (hp) is smearing the ink... there is now ink on the feed rollers and you need to get in there and clean it all up with alcohol...also run epson matt paper for a few prints to get the color to lay down ..good luck
