LCD's use a colorful crystal see through display which only visible when light is shining through it. if you have sound and no picture it's always a faulty PSU. Very easy to change out actually.

Main systme control PCB. its the board where all of your inputs are in.

I have the same issue. I am thinking I need to replace the T-con board. Did you get your fixed and what did you need or do?

RAM problem. Fix the RAM properly in the RAM slot.

Good Day, texxastam;

Do this:

1. UNPLUG TV
2. HOLD IN VOLUME DOWN &INPUT buttons on TV
3. Plug in the TV. (the TV will turn itself on).
4. A blue "K" should now be showing on the TV screen, release the buttons.
5. Press and release the VOLUME DOWN & CHANNEL DOWN buttons simultaneously on the TV. (A blue service menu will appear on the screen).
6. Using the remote, press the DOWN SELECT button once. (The highlighted line should read INDUSTRY INT (+CAUSE) OFF
7. Using the remote, press VOLUME UP once (OFF changes to ON).
8. Press ENTER. After a few seconds the screen turns green and shows - Industry INIT success - at the top of the screen.
9. Unplug the AC cord for 10 seconds then plug back in.

PS; I did not make this up... it's from SHARP> again good luck...you may have to do this several times....too...get the timming down.

This could be 1 of three things! 1-main lcd panel
2-y sustain module
3-z sustain module

This is something you cannot do yourself my friend.

I just got a 42" komodo by Sceptre, same problem, except "SCEPTRE" showed on the screen. I was sent a USB key program to insert in the service slot in the back and it reflashes the bios. This is old news for you but maybe new for someone?
