You may need to slide the dishwasher out slightly. On both sides at the floor level are the door springs, pulley, and cables. The cable is usually attached to the door hinge--then goes around the pulley wheel and goes back to the spring system. Most noise comes from the hinge pivot point or the pulley axle. You can spray all those parts with something like WD40 or if you don't like that smell try a silicone spray. Do both sides and work the door up and down.
If you work around the house and around cars a lot like i do, next time you find a squeaky door, leave the WD-40 alone, go for the petroleum jelly instead, like vasoline. Remove one hingpin at a time, if they are eaisily removed and clean it, Then lightly coat it with the petroleum jelly, and reinstall. Move on and do the next one. If the pin can't be removed, brush it on right at the bushing or hinge split. It lasts a heck of a lot longer than oil and does not run. I did one of my most used doors, in my home, a few years ago. The thing is still as silent as a church mouse. My wife hates it, because she always thinks i am sneaking up on her. One of these days i will do the rest. I gave my gmc pickup door hinges the same treatment. It has 207,000 miles still on the original door hinge pins with very little wear.Good Luck. Bob.
I see that you need assistance in repairing a squeaky door on your Frigidaire dishwasher. The best way to quiet down a squeaky door is to pinpoint the cause of the squeak. This could be an issue with your hinges, springs, or the cables. You can use a lubricant such as WD-40 on your those parts to see if that will help alleviate the squeaking. Hope this is helpful. -Matt
I recommend using automotive "anti-seize" compound, a high-heat, metallic paste, typically applied with a small brush during the assembly or installation of car parts subject to extreme heat, so they don't seize or fuse together over time. If there is access to the "squeaky part" of the stove's hinge, slathering it with some anti-seize should keep it quiet for a long while.
the hinge on the door may be loose or the strike try tighting the screws if that dont work i would use a lube called graphite its a dry lube used for locks and electric motors it also works well for sqeaking.
Sounds like door bushings. Most of the hinges are welded on but you can replace the bushings. You might need a special tool.If you don`t feel comfortable doing it yourself then go to a body shop and have them give you a free estimate. Some of these are no to easy.Hope this helps.Good luck.
Open the door and look at the bottom hinge. There is a plastic piece between the door and the hinge, this is called a cam, it helps keep the door in different positions. The cam should not move when the door moves, if it does you should be able to tighten the screw holding it on. If it does not move then a little lubricant on that cam should help.
TRY OPENING THE DOOR UP ALL THE WAY AND SQUIRTING WD-40 ON THE BOTTOM HINGE.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS.. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR DUST AND FOOD PARTICLES THAT MIGHT NEED TO BE SCRAPED OFF THE HINGE FIRST....
