Reset your printer. Look for printer resetter , its a utility third party program. Or in search of web browser just key in " epson reset software"

don't replace the ink pads install a external waste ink tank instead, then reset the printer using reset program . . search on eBay for epson waste ink tank, search ebay for "Epson Waste Ink Tank" it comes with reset program.
