Turn off night lights and have no lights on during the night

The timer turns on day lights at 8 and off at 7p as programmed. The blues turn on at 7p but I want them to turn off after a couple of hours. They stay on after the off time and I have to manually shut them off at night. How do I program the blues to turn off and allow my tank to stay dark til morning

The blue lights imitate moonlight over the ocean. Those lights are there to better imitate the fish's natural environment, which is almost never completely dark.

I need to know how to operate my GE 50462 timer switch

This timer cannot be programmed.
Timer has pre-set program to turn lights or appliances on-off at random times so home looks occupied. GE 7-Day Random Vacation Timer turns lamps or appliances on or off during late evening and early morning hours, confusing potential burglars.
Rotate dial clockwise until current day and time lines up with pointer, and plug in.

1) There is no repair for defective timer.
According to manual, under Initial Timer Operation: yellow outlet is ON at 4:00 pm.
Make sure Mode button is not set to OFF.

2) Scheduling timer: Think about the zilla timer this way:
Day is 12 hours and night is 12 hours.
Your total schedule is only 9 hours, but it overlaps day and night.

If timer 'night' starts at 6pm and ends at 6am, then your programming overlaps day and night.
If timer 'night' starts at 12midnight and ends at 12noon, then your programming still overlaps day and night.

3) To solve zilla time problem, set current time differently.
4) Or buy GE or Utilitec 24-hour programmable power strip

On this timer is the light color of time Day and the blue cover on time for night?

You posted under GE 7-day random vacation timer.
This timer shows 7 days of the week.
The nighttime hours are white with blue background.
Daytime hours are blue with white background.
Timer dial rotates clockwise, and make 1 revolution each week.
To set timer, manually rotate dial until current day and hour line up with 'time now' pointer.
Move slide switch to TIMER ON.
Timer randomly turns on-off at preset times.
To watch timer in action: turn lamp ON, plug lamp into timer, plug timer into outlet, and then manually rotate dial clockwise several rotations and watch lamp turn on-off.

Open following link for Zilla timers

Zilla timers are unique for home-type timers.
They are two-channel timers, which means that timer has 2 independent programs.
In the case of Zilla, 1 program controls yellow outlets for daytime hours (6am to 6pm). Once daytime hours are over, the yellow outlets are OFF.
The other program controls blue outlets for nighttime hours (6pm to 6am). Once nighttime hours are over, the blue outlets are OFF.

So if you have a light for example, and light is plugged into yellow outlet, then you can program light to turn on-off during the daytime hours only. You cannot also set a nighttime program for the same light unless you plug light into blue outlet.

Zilla timers are for aquariums, where day and night plays important role in life cycle and activity of different types of aquatic beings.

Add a comment and say exactly which Zilla timer you have, and say what specifically you have done so far, and where you are stuck, and what loads you want to control.

You posted under the Woods 7-day timer 59018 or 59028.
Here is the manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Woods-59018-59028.pdf

There are several programmable timers today that look like Woods, and each brand has different programming.

If you do not have Woods, add a comment and I will walk through programming your brand

1) You have the clock set correctly which implies the wiring is correct. Good job!
2) Programming review:
Each program requires ON time to be set, and then OFF time to be set
For example you set Program1 ON 5:00PM for ALL days.
And then you set Program1 OFF 11PM for ALL days.

3) Programming steps:
Press PROG button until Timer 1 ON appears on display
Use Hour button to set 5 PM
Use MIN button to set :00
Default selects ALL days
(If you want other days, press DAY button until display shows correct block of days)
Press PROG button again to save Program1 ON

4) Now for Program1 OFF

5) To set Program1 Off
Press PROG button until Timer 1 OFF shows in display.
Use Hour button to set 11 PM
Use MIN button to set :00
Default selects ALL days
(If you want other days, press DAY button until display shows correct block of days)
Press PROG button again to save Program1 OFF

6) Program 1ON and Program1 OFF have been set ... so press the CLOCK button to return to current time.
If you want to set another program, press PROG button until Timer 2 ON displays

7) After setting programs, press Clock button so current time shows.

8) The manual shows one more thing ... if you program the timer during the hours 5-11pm, and the timer should be ON during those hours, you have to 'tell' the timer to turn ON by pressing the manual override ... after that the timer will operate normally.

I want to program my 360 to shut off at a certain

If your wondering if there is a timer built inside you can set unfortunately there is not. You could use a timer for the plug to only turn on during certain hours of the day like they use for Christmas lights.
Hope this helps.
