My parents restricted my ipod for personal reasons, but now they have un-restricted it but my wifi will not connect. My parents were going to give me the password for the wifi but my ipod will not even hit on the wifi to let me connect it says unable to conncect

Yes! It will be whatever the bill payer of the wifi you want to connect to has put on for security reasons!

It's not the internet settings, it's parental resctriction ;)
I don't have a PS3, but I guess it could be found in some account management, or something like that.Then you have to find Parental Restriction.

The reason this have occoured, I guess, is because you have registered the psn-account on a e-mail adress where your "age" are under 18 years. You probably will need a password for your parents e-mail adress.

This is due to parental restrictions on your xbox 360. I would find whoever controls these and ask them to change the setting to allow you to communicate with other. These parental controls may be in place because you are too young. Good luck!

hi this sounds like the pocket wifi firewall or push is stopping you from connecting, it will show connection when the password is put in correctly, but unless your either ip, or mac address is registered with the unit it will not let you connect to the net, you will have to see if there is a start ip and an end ip address in the wifi unit, as this might have restrictions to ip address numbers..for example..wifi ip start address might be 192.168.0.1 and wifi end address might be 192.168.0.4 where as your ipod might have an ip address of 192.168.0.7 ( just an example ) so even though the password is ok, it will let you connect for that few seconds, as it has verified the password and is correct, but the ip handling has not allowed you access and the firewall then steps in and blocks you.... hope this helps

If by hook up, you mean wired. NO! You can connect it wirelessly, it's a WiFi ready device. All you need to do is to go to Settings> WiFi>
.. Turn ON WiFi and select from available networks around you.
Normally, WiFi signals are protected by a password. You need to know the correct password first before you can connect to that WiFi network.

No, iPod touch have no way of connecting to the internet other than wifi (unlike iPhone that has 3G).
This means that there must be wifi signal around you before you can browse the web or receive email.

To check for available networks around you, on your iPod touch, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, then select the network that you want to use.

Often times, wifi networks are secured by a password, meaning, you need to ask permission to the owner of that signal to gain access. In a cefe for example, you can gain access to their secured network by simply asking the person in the counter.

if not they cheack the warrenty and give you a new one
