Small ice cubes The ice maker is not supplying enough water. The result is very small ice cubes. The water supply pressure is on max, can there be a way to adjust the water level? The tray is not even filled half way.

The ice maker is time filled, it only has a certain time in which to fill. There is no way to adjust the water level. Check the pressure limiting valve which is in the water line before the filter. Have you replaced the filter? Remove the filter and pressure limiting valve and see if the ice maker receives more water. If it does, then replace the filter and check again. If it is still good, the pressure limiting valve is faulty.

Ice maker is not producing ice and the control light is blinking red

Inspect the ice maker mold to see if there are ice cubes present. If there are no cubes or very small cubes, then you should look for issues with the water fill system. Inspect the fill tube and the fill cup area at the back of the ice maker to make sure that they are not frozen. If there is an ice buildup in that area, confirm no foreign objects have disrupted the flow of water into the fill cup. If nothing obvious has caused the ice buildup then suspect the inlet valve, tubing or low water pressure. Inspect the outlet tubing from the fill valve to the ice maker fill tube for any signs of restrictions and replace if necessary.

Check the water inlet valve for any restrictions. You will need to shut off the valve from the household water supply before you disconnect the inlet tubing. Some water inlet valves may have a screen to filter debris before it can enter the valve. If the screen is plugged, water flow will be restricted and the result will be small or layered ice cubes. Remove and clean the screen or replace the valve.

Ice cubes are too thin. Making on time, but no volume due to small cubes. What part will correct this?

Well this thing is made to make ice cubes so if the ice cube are to small thin then you water supply must be restricted because its cold enough to make the ice just the volume of water isn't their .Check the feed system for restrictions .

Ice maker makes small cubes. Low water pressure at door

Is water pressure to house normal? Have you moved Refrigerator recently? if so you may have crimped water supply pipe or tube.
Is the valve for that pipe full on? Or was it turned off to do something to the water supply? Last time Water filter was changed? Electric valve for water dispenser may be clogged. That's the last place I would look. Small cubes may be an adjustment or switch to cause partial fill.

Our ice machine does not make full ice cubes. they are small and not complete, they are full of holes.

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.

My ice maker is letting too much water go into the ice tray so it freezes in a solid piece. Cubes do fall down but there is so much water it freezes into a solid block

Maytag msd2356ae ice maker will only give me hollow ice any ideas.

Hi,
Hollow ice cubes are most often cause by insufficient water supply. Icemakers fill for about 7.5 seconds, resulting in about 4.75 oz. (140 cc) of water into the ice cube mold. If there s not enough water pressure available at the fridge, cubes may end up hollow and/or the fill could continue to dribble, eventually causing the fill tube to freeze closed.
pls rate my suggestion.........

ICE MAKER NOT WORKING CORRECTLY

Hello deloreslovat
welcome,

You said ,your ice maker makes the ice but does not drop it into the bucket. It just leave it in the upright position in the ice maker device. It also seems to not be making all of the ice cubes only a portion of them.

Here are somethings to check that may cause this

The ice cubes are hollow or small
NOTE: This is an indication of low water pressure.
Water shutoff valve not fully open? Turn the water shutoff
valve fully open.
Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce
water flow. Straighten the water source line.
Reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to
your cold water supply? This can decrease water pressure.
See “Water Supply Requirements.”
Questions remain regarding water pressure? Call a
licensed, qualified plumber.

Let me know if this helps.
