If you get a blank screen and the camera is on,there are two ribbons to the LCD one (the smaller one) is power to the screen. the larger ribbon is the data lines. If the camera is on the problem is a loose connection of one or both of the ribbons. Hope this helps Jerry

How does canon sx50 hs power the clock

From the main batteries. If there truly is no separate battery then a capacitor holds enough power so the clock keeps running while you change the main batteries.

Canon sx50 hs Power button not working

Obviously the battery is not powering the camera. That could mean many things. There is a break-down in circuitry in the camera and you need to turn it in for a professional check-up.

Why won't the menu button won't work and i also cannot delete photos individually

Make sure there isn't a button lock feature on your camera to protect against accidentally changing a setting.

If you cannot delete photos individually you may have the image protection feature enabled.

When I connect camera to computer, camera window says no camera found

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as PIcasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Cant find the right remote switch

I can't find a connection connector for a wired remote, and I can't find an infra red sensor, for a IR remote. Then in the menu settings nothing is mentioned about remote control settings, so I think your camera does not support any remote control. So if you want to shoot on a tripod, without touching the camera, you have to use the Self timer. See the manual page 58
