This depends on what procedures were used during the factory reset.
If your Hard Drive was formatted, than you lost everything. If not, then it is possible that the folder may still be somewhere on your hard drive, for example in the Temp Folder or Recycle Bin? You need to ask the person who performed the factory reset and find what procedures did he/she or they performed on your machine? While you are talking to them, ask if he/she or they could help you recover the Folder you are looking for? The Picture Folder is a default component so it should appear even after the factory reset, unless they screwed it up. Talk to the people who did this job!

I always burn my pictures to a DVD+-, so even after I loose my Hard Disk Drive, I can reload them to a new machine's HDD.

I lock my phone with a pass word and forget it

If its an android there's a easy fix, but for the fact that it will wipe out your data. You can do a factory reset with any android. I've personally done this with my phones and some friend's as well. I've also managed to save some of the data beforehand by,...

1. Plug Device (phone) into PC via USB cord
2. Open the Computer folder
3. Locate and open your Device folder
4. Locate and open the DCIM folder (your pictures)
5.Click on and drag to another folder (ie: your My Pictures folder)
or right click on the picture and click
"Send to", to save the files you choose to.
6. Do the same as in #5 with the other folders. (Music,
Pictures, etc.) Close them all, right click on the
device and eject device (Just to be safe)

Unplug your Device from the PC and turn your phone (Device)OFF.

1. With your phone already OFF hold down the up/down volume
key, and the on/off buttons (and camera button if there is one)
all at the same time.
2. When your Device powers ON release all of the buttons.
3. Wait and watch as your android does a factory reset.(For most
devices, some you may have to use the up/down volume button
to manually choose factory reset).

Your phone should reboot itself and VOILA! Your phone just like the day you bought it!! And no password...

How to reset opera back to factory default setting (Profile reset)

The basic steps are 1)Backup necessary files 2)Delete opera6(configuration settings) file from profile directory. See details below.
What is profile reset?
Profile reset removes all your preference settings(like the options you choose in tools>preferences, custom toolbars, menu etc) and let opera rebuild it to the factory default condition automatically. The great advantage it brings that it destroys bad settings that you might have done or might have accumulated with multiple upgrade etc. This is very likely to resolve many issues users encountered with opera user settings.
What to do before profile reset? Do I need to backup?
You need to backup your files so that you can get back your data.
How to do the profile reset?
Close opera. You need to locate your profile directory (Help>about opera will show you the exact location). In windows xp, it is commonly at c:\documents&settings>username>application data>opera>opera>profile and in win vista its under in Win Vista C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Opera. Note that "Application data" is a hidden folder in windows and you need to enable the opton to view hidden files and folders(open my computer>tools>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders). Once you have found the folder, just find and delete the file opera6.ini(configuration settings). Restart opera and opera will rebuild the profile settings.

How to factory reset the device

There is a setup mode you can use to set the player back to factory default settings. From the main menu, just hit SETUP. In there, there should be an option called Load Default. This puts all the settings back to factory defaults.

From there, it's just a matter of deleting everything out of your Media and Data folders. Just plug it in to any computer and delete the contents of those two folders.

How to reset my i900 with password

you have probably cut a system files and the phone could not find the location.
try these troubleshooting.
>>switch off your phone, remove your battery and remove your sim card and also your sd card.
>>reinsert your battery and switch your phone on. if it didn't ask for password, then you have to reset it to factory settings, or you may want to back up your contacts first through NPS on to your pc. after you had backed it all up, try to make a hard reset or factory reset by typing this to your keypad, *2767*3855#. let me remind you that you will lost all your settings, but this will help you reinstall the firmware and correct errors which the phone encountered.
>>after hard reset, reinsert again your sim, sd card, battery and switch it on. if it still gives you problem then go to your nearest service center and have it checked. it may be needing a firmware reflash, the same way after you had remove your sim and sd card and reinserted the battery and it ask you for the same passcode and the unlock key is not functioning, it only means of firmware failure because of a system file relocation.
try not to touch anything from the device folder and delete some system files the next time..

Lost iphoto back catalog after an import, is there anyway to recover these photos?

the back catalog of your images are not gone. Since the pictures you have uploaded form your camera to iPhoto all those files are still there. All you need to do is re-load the images into the library of iPhoto.
1) Start iPhoto, then in the menu goto File / Add to library..
2) Then a file browsing window will open, all you need to do is locate the folder in which u had specified to iPhoto. (Default location for iPhoto is located at MainHD / Users / Username / Pictures / iPhoto Library
3) Once you have located the folder or folders you wish to add to your library or catalog just press import. And all the images should show in the catalog.
4) if you have more pictures saved in another folder, then repeat steps 1 to 3 again. but in step 2 locate the folder or drive you wish to import from.

Busy message on computer and camera

Try resetting the camera to factory defaults - Here's how:
  • Firstly press the 'menu' button, then the up button above the 'OK' as many times as needed, until you see the top folders are highlighted.

  • Press the right button near the 'OK' until you see the last folder highlighted. You will know this is highlighted when you see the first menu option that says 'Language'. The 3rd one down from that says 'Clear Settings'.

  • Press the down button under the 'OK' until 'Clear Settings' is highlighted, then press the 'OK' button.

  • Scroll up to your choice and press 'OK' to reset your Canon 400D back to default factory settings.
Hope this helps

Reset Folder No.

Finally, I have contacted the Panasonic Repair Centre. The answer is the only way to reset the folder no is to bring it back to the repair centre and have it rested there. Moreover, say there is a file 1000001 in the memory card now. After you use the "No. Reset" function and if you do not format the memory card (in other words, the 1000001 file is still in the card), the new file no will become 1010001 when you take a new picture with this memory card. Therefore, I will format the memory card before I use the "No. Reset" fuction in order to make the new picture started from 1000001.
