you have a power supply OCP fault.
The power supply needs to be replaced or tweaked. There is a variable resistor inside the power supply that needs to be adjusted.
Yopu PS3 is tripping the Over Current Protection fault circuit. Common problem

Its possible that the power supply isn't putting out all the voltages required for the ps3 to turn on. Best way to verify it is if you had another known good working power supply to swap it with. If you can swap the power supply and get the ps3 to turn on then you know your power supply is bad. If it still gives you the same problem after swapping then the main board is bad. I believe the ground should show 5 volts. if the 5 volts isn't present then the power supply is definitely bad.

US and Japanese power supplies are the same. The 60GB PS3's run hotter than any other models. I've never seen a power supply get hot, but if it is then it's probably a good idea to swap it since heat is the number one 60GB killer.

I Definitely Suggest you just buy a new power supply,,,, If your power supply fails, you can have multiple issues with your ps3... Being as expensive as they are... i would just say your best bet is to buy a new power supply... As for where to buy... Definately ebay... way cheaper!... make sure you check people's ratings before buying.... If you dont have access to ebay, then i suggest hitting up a electronics store that sells ps3's... if anything it can be ordered in... :D Good luck... Please rate! :)

Check the power suply output voltage and freqwency. Then get the same info from a US power supply. If it matches shouldn't be an issue. Yet I think the best is just to get a transformer from a european store from 220 to 110. It may be cheaper that a power supply. If still interested in a US power supply I have one available. In regards to looking for PS3 powersupplies you have 2 options. You can do a search through Ebay and/or you can do some searches on the Internet.

I got one the other day for $35 after shipping.
