Follow the below mentioned steps to activate your device : 1 Connect your TomTom to your computer using its provided USB cable.
2 Press the "Yes" button on your TomTom's touchscreen when it asks if you'd like to connect your TomTom to your computer.
3 Open TomTom Home. Click "Start," choose "All Programs," find TomTom Home's folder and double-click its icon.
4 Click "Use my activation code."
5 Enter your activation code into the empty field next to "Your activation code."
6 Click "Next."
7 Wait while TomTom Home automatically uses the code your provided it.

Try resetting your tomtom by inserting a paper clip through the reset hole found underneath. One quick press is all thats needed. Charge the tomtom first now and then switch on after its had a good charge.
