Paper feeding when printing recieved faxes

On reciept of any size fax, this machine faithfully prints it all on. However, it also churns out a blank sheet after every printed one. Try as I might, I cannot find an instruction to stop this annoying behaviour. Please help! Thanks.

If this is primarily happening with receipts from one sending fax machine, the most likely cause is that the sending machine is transmitting an end code that causes this page to print.

I received several important faxes that did not print, just blank paper. Then I realized I was out of ink. Anyway to retreve those lost faxes?

Not normally...once the machine "thinks" it has printed the information the actual Data is no longer kept in memory...there may be a record of the fax being recieved but not the actual Data.

I am recieving fax but machine can not print it

When the fax comes through, is anything printed on the paper or not. if nothing is being printed on fax page, only blank page comes out then reduce the moderm speed for your fax. it will solve the problem.

Machine not printing sounds like it is and feeds paper thou

Change the ink cartridge first an foremost,
then do a few print head cleans to flush out the blocked nozzles. it may come back after 4 or 5 cleans

My HP 6100 series all in one wants to align cartridge

This document explains the different results obtained when using or not using the Automatic Reduction (or Auto Reduction) Feature. The following issues usually result when the Automatic Reduction feature is not set correctly:
  • Faxes printing too small
  • Faxes printing on more than one page
  • A blank page ejecting between each printed fax page
This feature can be turned ON (the default) or OFF from the Advanced Fax Features menu. The two main purposes of the Auto Reduction feature
  • Fits a received fax page onto the paper size loaded in the paper tray and selected in the paper size setting of the Basic Fax Setup. For example; if letter size paper is loaded in the paper tray and selected in the fax settings and a legal size document is received, each page will be reduced and printed on one letter sized paper.
  • Allows the addition of the fax header margin at the top of every printed fax without extending the fax onto another page. The fax header is printed at the top of every fax received with identifying information about the fax sender. Since this increases the overall page length, the page must be reduced to fit onto one page. Auto reduction slightly shrinks the fax as it is received so the entire page will print on one piece of paper even though a top margin is allowed for the fax header.

make sure that "autoreduction" is set to on. should be in your owners manual. also, make sure your paper size is set correctly.

Recieving fax no printout, all other printing processes ok

When you say all other printing processes are ok, I am assuming you can make copies and print from the computer. If so...then are the blank faxes coming from several different fax machines or are they coming from one particular fax machine. If one particular fax machine, then the problem is probably on their end. I need to go backwards a second....when you receive a fax does the machine spit out a blank page or no paper is fed at all..it just receives the fax? Is the machine programmed to just receive faxes to memory to be printed out later? It doesn't make sense for it to print or copy but not to print a fax. If problem persist try a different fax modem.
