Gas burner continues clicking after on and flame active.

many ovens are made to click like that and nothing is wrong with burner oven, its a safety measure to let you know gas is on or escaping. I f you turn the knob bac or forward a little bit it will go off and flame will still burn. Other words you may have a dirty spark igniter , see pics

Control knob doesnt adjust flame height?

Use a manometer to insure lp gas pressure is correct. The regulator for the stove may need adjusting. The air mixture adjustment may not be correct for PL as well.

Viking stove burners blow out and relight if you tap gas valve. Hot surface igniters glowing but burner still loses flame and then make gushing noise. Is it the valve or the worn igniters?

Hi,

Which model do you have? Sound s light your unit re-ignites if flame goes out, if so, I would clean the burner. This means with a old toothbrush remove everything baked or burnt on. Assure your small orifice with in the burner is clean and you can see the port (hole in the center). Most of the time I have found clogged burners, or the burner cap (selected models) were installed incorrectly to cause this issue. Give that a shot and get back to me if you have more to add or just more questions.

Thanks

No flame touching thermocouple

There must be a blockage on the inner flame ring as the gas is not getting to the thermocouple .

One of the igniters does not click. they were wet and popped the breaker over a week ago . all but one now clicks and lites burners. it was sparking a weekago and blowing the breaker.

Make sure the area of the burner base around the spark electrode is clean (use a fine sand paper). The little hole for the gas is open (use a paper clip). You won’t see a flame unless the burner head is on. If this doesn’t help, check the bottom of the spark electrode visually. Make sure the wire is attached to the electrode and is not loose (pull it a little bit.) If the wire or the electrode is damaged, replace it ($25). If not, locate the spark module and switch the connection with another one (they are different colors). If you get flame on the same burner, but not on the other one, replace the spark module ($60). When you work with electrical components, turn the breaker off. When you test, turn it on. Good luck.

Creda 4 burner, converted to LP

Your flame is perfect if it's just the very tip that is yellow or white. All burners should be adjusted this way, on highest flame.

Burners will not light or stay lit

lhs burner - problem is probably thermo-couple. this is a safety device which prevents gas escape if flame blows out. rhs burner - you do not say if it can be lit by a match. if so then it is a problem with the electrode or the wire to it chaffed thro. if can't be lit by a match, then a problem with the gas valve which is unusual not a diy fix unless you are experienced
